Welcome to the Main Program

Welcome to the learning platform for the Main Program of the International Summer Course (ISC) BIOTROP 2026.

This 10-day intensive program, themed “From Ecosystems to Repositories: Data-Driven Insights into Tropical Biodiversity”, is organized by the Faculty of Biology, Universitas Gadjah Mada. It is designed to provide a complete learning journey—from field sampling to genomics and spatial data-driven insights.

Program Structure

• Online Pre-Course (6–9 July 2026): Four days of hybrid lectures covering biodiversity data foundations, experimental design, genomics, and spatial policy.
• Onsite Course (13–18 July 2026): Six days of onsite activities in Yogyakarta, including 2D1N field sampling, DNA extraction/sequencing labs, QGIS modeling, and participating in the Student Biodiversity Summit.
